New Years Resolution Update

Hey lovelies!

I just want to apologise for my lack of posts recently, things have been quite hectic! Since we are now half way through the year I thought I would post a little update on two posts I made in the new year - New Years Resolutions and What I want to Achieve in 2012. Firstly, my new years resolutions.

Try not to worry so much - I have always worried too easily and I don't think it is something you can just switch off and therefore I would say I have semi stuck to this. I am getting a lot better and tend not to worry about silly things, however I do still worry way too easily. Anyone have any tips on how to stop worrying?

Save at least 25% of any source of income - I am proud to say I have stuck to this and now have a nice amount of money saved up :) Weirdly I quite enjoy transferring the money to my savings account and seeing it increase each month - definitely a great feeling! If you transfer the money as soon as you are paid you don't really notice it has gone.

Read more books - Again, I have stuck to this also! Now that I am working in London I always read on my way to and from work, which has given me so much more time to read. I also have a Kindle now, which has definitely encouraged me to read alot more. Give me your book recommendations as I have just finished a book :)

Stop biting my nails - A big fat F for this resolution. I started off well and proved that I could do this, however I often bite my nails without realising/when I am bored so this proved to be difficult. I have to say though, I am not too bad as my nails always have a nice little tip, I would never bite them down really low.

So overall I think I am doing OK - however, I could be doing better!

How are all your new years resolutions going?

Love Carissa XXX

  1. I also worry so much over the most pointless things! I usually tell myself this exact saying then take a few deep breaths and I usually feel better. I bite my nails too, its an awful habit! I really need to stop!

  2. Well done on your savings! I'm a worrier and a biter, and I find the two go hand in hand. When I'm busy and have nothing to be anxious about, my nails grow, but as soon as something goes wrong or I'm they come!! x

  3. Great post! I've read some good books recently, one of my fave's was Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn x

  4. Hey, saw your link on #bbloggers chat, my tip for not biting my nails (i bit them until they were painful about a year ago..) is to paint them all the time and give them time to grow, if you feel like biting then pick the varnish off... worked for me! :) x

  5. So if you can buy in bulk, you often eliminate the need for so much packaging.Website
