Summer Jewellery Haul

28 Aug 2013

Both Primark // £2.00 each

Boots // Unsure

New Look // Unsure

Primark // Around £1.50

Most of the year I tend to wear the same jewellery pieces and it isn't until the Summer months when I start to venture out.  I recently went on a bit of a jewellery binge and picked up some new pieces!

I wanted some bracelets to wear at Glastonbury and so I headed to Primark.  Stackable bracelets are perfect for festivals and also nice to wear when on holiday, and these turquoise sets fitted the bill.  Whilst looking in Boots I also came across this pretty bracelet, which to my luck was reduced! If you haven't looked at Boots jewellery before I would definitely recommend checking it out as they quite often have sales and you can pick up some nice pieces!

I also wanted to pick up some statement necklaces and saw the first one in New Look and thought it would be a great piece to go with a lot of outfits.  The second my mum actually gave me which I absolutely love as it has that tribal feel.

Lastly, I picked up some earrings from Primark.  I am not too sure what they are, however I love the turquoise with the silver - these will definitely be coming on holiday with me!

Stylight : The New Online Fashion Community

25 Aug 2013

I was recently introduced to Stylight, an online fashion community where you can browse and create your own looks,  heart looks that you like, follow members, comment and even shop!  I have spent hours on Stylight looking for inspiration from other bloggers and ideas on new looks.

The best part about Stylight is that if you find a look that you like, there are links to similar clothing so you can recreate the look.  I also love that on the homepage you can find trending looks and members, which has given me lots of inspiration for looks. There is more of a focus on European brands which is great for finding unique and new brands.

By signing up you are able to keep track of the looks you have hearted, share looks you have created and interact with many other bloggers. I have already found some of my favourite bloggers on there, so take a look and find out what your favourite bloggers have been loving!  I would definitely recommend checking out Stylight, it's like pinterest for fashion.

Are you a member on Stylight? If so, let me know your user name so I can take a look!

Get More Vitamin Drinks

15 Aug 2013

Vitamin drinks are becoming more and more popular, yet I have never really “got” them.  I never fully understood the benefits behind each and so was often left confused and unsure.  So it was very refreshing to see a company that have finally made it clear and simple! The More or Less drinks company have created a range which aims to provide adults an easy and refreshing way to get the core essential vitamins they need to promote overall health and well-being. It focuses more on what vitamin you need and the reasons for it. For example, Get more B vitamins helps your body release energy, and Get more C vitamins helps to support the immune system.

I was pleasantly surprised by the flavours, orange, citrus, mango & passion fruit or apple & raspberry, they could easily pass as flavoured mineral water but with the added benefits!  However, what I love most about these drinks are that they have no added sugar and have little to no calorie content. Quite often I see a drink I like in the supermarket and I am hit with a nasty surprise when I look at how high some of the content is! When you next go to the supermarket, take a look at various different non fizzy drinks (as you will see, it’s not just the fizzy drink that are bad!) and you will be surprised.

There is also a range of smaller bottles called “A Little More” for children over the age of three, one of the first drinks of its kind! These are perfect to pop in to your child's lunchbox or to take with you when traveling.

What are your thoughts on vitamin drinks?

Ultimate Driving Playlist

5 Aug 2013

I have always loved putting together a mix tape of music to listen to in the car, so when moneysupermarket contacted me and asked if I wanted to take part in their ultimate driving playlist competition I jumped at the chance! The aim is to create a playlist of those top tracks that you can’t get enough of. This could be for when you’re driving down to a festival, summer break or just to your friend’s place. With £20 to go towards the playlist I hopped straight onto iTunes to get some ideas.

This playlist is very much festival inspired, including my favourites from Mumford & Sons, Bastille and Muse, bringing back amazing memories from past festivals. I also decided to include a few classics that I love to listen to throughout summer.  For example, Bob Marley & The Wailers are definitely a summer favourite, along with Island in the Sun.  To finish it all off I included some dance music to keep me going and I have ended with an Oasis classic, a great sing-a-long!

There is a purpose behind the idea of this driving playlist - THINK! research suggests that almost 20% of accidents on major roads are sleep or tiredness related. Long journeys on motorways can lead to a lack of concentration and, as well as other preventative measures, listening to songs you love can be a great way to stay alert and focused on the road. So get creating!

What would be on your driving playlist?
