It’s time for my second ever monthly favourites post! As I am still on a spending ban, I am getting the chance to rediscover products lost at the back of my cupboard, one being the Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser (£4.99). I have been using this for a few weeks now and I am really impressed. It is very moisturising and therefore great for dry skin and it has left my skin feeling lovely and soft. My skin has been playing up recently, breaking out and suffering from dry patches, and this has really helped to improve it's appearance. It also removes eye make up very easily which saves a bit of time when I am in a rush! I would highly recommend this as a cheaper alternative to the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish that contains some very beneficial ingredients.
As mentioned in my last favourites post I have begun to fake tan again, however sometimes I cannot be bothered to get my mitt out and apply it all over, and so I often reach for a gradual tanner instead. For a long time my go to gradual tanner was the Garnier Skin Naturals Summer Body Moisturising Lotion, however recently I have been using the St Tropez Gradual Tanner* (£14.50) . It produces a very natural looking colour, much better than the Garnier, that is perfect for fair skinned people like me. As it is a moisturiser it applies very smoothly and I never have any issues with streaking. It also smells delightful, although after a few hours you do tend to get a bit of the fake tan smell.
The John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo* and conditioner* (£5.89 each) has been high on my list of things to try for a while now having heard a lot of great things about this range. What's more is they have brought out a range for colour-treated hair! The shampoo contains a specialised volume polymer which adds space between hair strands, helping to build volume and texture and the conditioner contains a lightweight volumising wax. My hair is generally quite flat; however washing my hair with these products leaves my hair voluminous, soft and shiny. I am in love with the results and have been using this religiously for the past month and will continue to.
Lastly, a nail polish. The Bourjois Paris So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Polish in Fuscia Hype (£5.99) has been a favourite on my nails this month. As the name would suggest, it is a beautiful fuscia pink that takes just 2 coats to achieve opaqueness. It dries very shiny therefore there is no need for a top coat, however it does chip after a few days, so a top coat may avoid this. I particularly love this on my toe nails as it is a great pop of colour.
What have you been loving this month?
