MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadow in Bloom On

MAC Bloom on is from the Office Hours collection that was released back in 2012, and now a part fo the permanent collection. The Office Hours range is meant for office wear, and so the colours are very natural. MAC Bloom on is a light burnt rose with a matte finish. Its texture is silky, but also very powdery causing slight fall out. It does apply very sheer, so you must use a primer and build up the colour, because of this I find it doesn't last the 8 hours as promised. I mostly use this in the crease of my eye to help blend darker colours, or as an all over wash of colour.
This is my first MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadow and I have to say I have mixed feelings. Although Bloom on is a pretty colour, it is extremley sheer and is it really worth £17 when a drugstore product would work just as well? You do get 3.4g rather than the usual 1.5g in MACs standard eye shadow, but I can't help but think this money would be better spent elsewhere.
Have you had any disappointing MAC products?

Such a shame this didn't live up to expectations! I do agree with you that it's maybe not worth the price tag, although the idea of the Office Hours collection is really good x

Ah what a pain! Such a high price tag for only one shadow - you can get a whole palette for that! x

Oh, no, how annoying. At least you can use it as a transition colour, it's such a gorgeous shade.

Sad to hear that it's disappointing. I think it wouldn't show on my yellow skin tone too.
