Bee Good Plump & Firm Moisturiser Raspberry & White Chocolate Lip Balm

Bee Good are an all natural skincare brand that started in a small kitchen in Hampshire, and has now become an award winning brand. Simon and Caroline started the brand all thanks to Simons beekeeping skills and Carolines interest in harnessing the excess honey and beeswax. Therefore, all of their products contain British Honey, Propolis and beeswax. They do not test on animals, nor do their products contain parabens, synthetic colour, mineral oil, silicone, SLS or SLES.

One of their most recent releases is the Plump and Firm Moisturiser*. It contains luxurious ingredients such as British honey, raspberry and blackcurrant seed oil and hyaluronic acid. These key ingredients work to improve the visible signs of ageing, intensively hydrate the skin and leave it with a youthful glow. Now, although I may not be at the age where wrinkles are a problem, I do believe it is best to start young. This moisturiser is very light, it sinks into skin quickly and leaves a nice glow. After using this my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth and certainly looks more plump.

Another recent release is the Raspberry & White Chocolate Lip Balm*, which was designed by beauty vlogger Joseph Harwood. This is absolutely divine. It is a very sweet scent (as you would expect from the name) that reminds me of a raspberry swiss roll. It contains lots of beautiful oils and of course honey, to not only replenish dry skin but strengthen your skin. It has a lovely texture and it leaves my lips feeling very moisturised. This is a definite recommend.

So onto the good news. In collaboration with Bee Good, I would like to give you guys the chance to win both the Plump & Firm Moisturiser (£23.50) and the Raspberry & White Chocolate Lip Balm (£4.75) simply complete the Rafflecopter below.

This is UK giveaway only and will end at 23:59 GMT on Thursday 4th February 2016.

Good luck everyone!

Beauty Spending Ban #3

17 Jan 2016

Beauty Spending Ban

Every now and then I like to go on a spending ban, mostly to save a few pennies. Recently my beauty collection has grown so big that I have decided I want to go on another spending ban to try and use up some of the products I own. I am also going to do a big clear, which will also help to reduce my collection.

The only rules are, I cannot buy any beauty related items (skincare, toiletries, makeup etc) unless I run out of a certain type of product and have no other alternative or I use a gift card/money that I received for Christmas or my birthday. The second is questionable, however as they are gifts it is acceptable. I am also travelling to Paris next week, and so Sephora hauls will be excluded from this ban!

For now, I am going to keep it going till the end of February but it it's going well I am extend to the end of March. At the end of the beauty spending ban I will share the items that I managed to finish, hopefully it is a few more than usual!

Are you on a spending ban? Let me know how it's going!

How I keep my Makeup Brushes Clean

14 Jan 2016

Bacteria loves to breed in makeup brushes, therefore keeping them clean is paramount. Personally I find cleaning my makeup brushes a bit of a chore, so the easier the process the better. There are two products that I like to use; NatraSan First Aid Spray* for everyday cleaning and Dr Bronner Unscented Baby-Mild Pure-Castile Soap for a deep clean.

Every morning, after applying my makeup, I spray some NatraSan (£10.00) onto the brushes, swirl it in my hand and leave to dry - ready to be used the next day. This provides a natural disinfectant, preventing the build up of bacteria. It contains no alcohol, no harmful chemicals or preservatives and is 100% natural. It can also be used on cuts and minor burns to prevent infection and promote healing, and can even be used on acne and spots.

Around two or three times a month I use Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap (£1.99) to thoroughly clean my brushes. I put a small amount into the palm of my hand, wet the brush and swirl it against my palm then rinse. I then lay them down to dry on a towel overnight. The soap is very gentle on the brush and the essential oils keep your brushes feeling super soft, you do not want your brush drying out.

Both are fragrance free and suitable for sensitive skin. How do you clean your makeup brushes?

How to start the New Year on a High

12 Jan 2016

Every year I have the best intentions on keeping my New Years Resolutions, but some fall through the cracks and never reappear. These are my top tips to help you start your new year on a high and keep those resolutions going throughout the year.

Exercising is not only good for your body, but also your mind. It helps lower stress levels, and gives you the motivation that you need to keep going. Set a specific goals like - do yoga 3 times a week, as you are more likely to keep to them and therefore stay motivated.

Set Realistic Goals
Don't set a goal that you know you can't achieve, be realistic and be specific. Think about both the short term and long term goals you are looking to achieve and this will help concentrate your efforts and keep you on track to achieve your goals.

Stay positive
Negative thinking can bring you down massively. It isn't always easy to stay positive but you can begin to train your brain to look at the positives rather than the negative. This will not only improve your everyday mood but it will also help to create happiness in your life.

Keep a planner
Organise your life. Plan out how you are going to achieve your goals and remind yourself of your appointment and plans. I like to use a calendar app on my phone so I can add notes whilst I am out and about, and a diary at home. I include targets throughout the month so I know I am on track.

A busy house is a busy mind, so every now and then I like to have a big clear out to help clear my mind. I sort through old clothes and toiletries, tidy and to organise to create a calm environment. I truly think this is so important, I always sleep much better when I have a tidy bedroom, setting me up for a productive day.

What is your top tip to keep your resolutions?

Olivia Burton Rose Gold Watch with Interchangeable Strap

10 Jan 2016

An Olivia Burton watch has been on my wish list for a while now, so I was absolutely delighted when my parents bought me this beautiful set for Christmas. The crisp large rose gold dial is the largest option available from Olivia Burton, yet it does not look over the top on my not so large wrist.

The set comes with 2 leather straps; one grey and one dusky pink, creating two completely different looks. The interchangeable strap is easy to swap, and you can also pick up different colours for around £20. My Michael Kors watch has taken a back seat for now and I can see this being a permanent feature on my wrist for many years to come (until my next watch purchase at least!).

This set is available to buy from Olivia Burton for £110 which I think is very reasonable for essentially 2 watches.

6 Blogs I loved in 2015

7 Jan 2016

Throughout 2015 I rarely had the chance to read blogs, but there were a few that when I had the time, I would always read. Firstly, Claudia from Beauty and the Chic. Her photos are stunning and she recently set up her own Etsy shop to sell downloadable printable planners which are beautiful. Lauren from Never Ending Footsteps writes one of my favourite travel blogs, and I especially enjoyed reading her recent book release 'How Not to Travel the World'.

Next is Daisy from Cupcakes and Cherries, my blogging twin. We are around the same age, live in the same area of London and I feel like we have a lot in common. Her blog is one I know I can rely on. I have been reading Little Boat Sailing by Amy for many years now. Her blog is so beautiful and I thoroughly enjoy the variety of posts that Amy shares with us. Kate from Kate La Vie is complete blogging goals. I adore her style, her flat is just beautiful and you will fall in love with her as soon as you visit her blog. Last but not least, Lauren from By Lauren Jane who is very relatable and I can just spend hours looking through her blog - not to mention she is a complete babe!

A special mention also goes out to these lovely ladies - Alice from Tea Party with Alice, Victoria from Florence and Mary and Zinita from Beauty and the Payroller.  I would listed them above, but as they are my closest blogging friends I didn't think it would be fair. So make sure you also check them out as they are a great read.

What blogs have you been enjoying?

Tinie Tempah x Kiehls : Limited Edition Ultra Facial Cream

5 Jan 2016

Kiehl's have recently teamed up with global charity 'MTV Staying Alive Foundation' to launch a limited edition Ultra Facial Cream*. For many years Kiehl's have worked with charities to help fight HIV/AIDS and in the past 10 years alone, have raised $2.5million, showing real passion for the cause. Tinie Tempah, the ambassador to the Staying Alive foundation, has designed a new lid in aid of the campaign - hoping to raise funds and awareness of HIV/AIDS. This will help to positively impact the lives of young people around the world and to educate them on how to stay safe.

Think HIV isn't an issue anymore?
  • Two million new HIV infections in 2014.
  • AIDS is the #1 cause of death of adolescents in Africa and #2 globally.
  • Nearly 50% of all people living with HIV are unaware of their HIV status.
Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream is a favourite of mine. It is a light, yet rich formula that is perfect for these winter months. It contains glacial glycoprotein and desert plant extract, to help reduce moisture loss by drawing moisture from the air. In fact, it was used by the team of explorers who tackled Greenlands first ever ascent team, to prevent their skin from drying out.

Kiehls are donating £2 for every purchase (RRP £43.50 for 125ml) which you can purchase from retailers nationwide, or online at Kiehls. Although it is not a huge amount to donate, every little helps and if you are a fan of the Ultra Cream already, why not donate to a worthy cause. You can also donate £5 by texting HIV1 to 70660.

Goodbye 2015

3 Jan 2016

I look back at 2015 and for the most part it was a great year. I was lucky enough to travel to many new countries, attend many exciting blogging events and spend time with the people I love the most. Unfortunately there were a few lows in my year, including the loss of two of my pets in the space of a few months (who had both been in my life for over 10 years). RIP little ones. I also feel that I slacked on the blogging front a bit, but I am hoping to change this in 2016.
